How many people does it take to make a video game? Just one! In this club, you will become a graphic designer, software engineer, and game developer as you pitch then create a game of your dreams. **This club is for youth who are Black, Indigenous or a Person of Colour.

Leaders in Engineering & Design: Sound Engineering (Grades 8-12)

Transform Fridays into FriYAYS with our computer science club designed by girls* for girls! Instructors design the curriculum to match the interests of participants - from focusing on web design to creating interactive programs! Join us on Fridays for snacks, mentorship, and new friends!

*Science Venture uses “girls” as an inclusive term that encompasses all gender-nonconforming youth.

Robotics Club (Grades 4-6)

Fridays 4:30-6:30 PM | (Jan 19, Jan 26, Feb 2, Feb 9, Mar 1, Mar 8, Mar 15)

Cost: $120 (8 sessions)

From ideation to testing, combine coding and mechanical engineering to create your own robot! Participants will practice digital and physical design as they use different coding and robotics platforms such as Micro:bits, Lego, K’Nex, and Ozobots.
