All-Girls Programs

“It was powerful for our daughter to have strong female leadership in the camps, to see them as role models, and to picture herself as a future scientist.”

“My daughter learned at lot and had a fantastic time! Thank you.”

“Thank you very much for running this program. My daughter is so enthused and encouraged to be part. She seems to be learning things she never thought could happen. What overwhelms her is the presentation given by the Dean of Engineering. She sees her story as comforting and as a role model. She says: ‘I hope to be like her in the Future.’ ”

Rationale

Science Venture’s All-Girl Programs inspire young women to fulfill their role as leaders in STEM and encourages their engagement in STEM fields like engineering and computer science where women continue to be vastly underrepresented. Science Venture’s high-impact, all-girl programs provide girls with safe spaces to design, build, experiment, with women as role models and mentors who break down the still existing stereotypes about women in engineering and science. Girls programs offered by Science Venture include science clubs, day camps, career fairs and special events with female mentors. These initiatives are delivered in addition to regular co-ed programming.
