SCIENCE VENTURE SUMMER CAMPS
Every July and August, Science Venture runs weekly day camps at the University of Victoria for youth entering Grades 1-8 in Fall 2026.
Each camp group is led by university students who deliver innovative, fun, and hands-on science, technology, engineering and math programming.
Campers get the opportunity to explore the university, meet researchers and conduct experiments in real labs.
2026 dates
Camps run from June 29, 2026 to August 28, 2026.
Cost
5-Day Camps: $350
4-Day Camps: $280
Extended Hours: $50 for 5-day week; $40 for 4-day week
Camp streams
STEM-U Camps - Join us for the ultimate university experience. Complete with lab schedules, on-campus field trips, and leading-edge researchers, STEM-U camps are your chance to experience the best of UVic. Explore the various fields of science from physics to chemistry and biology in the many amazing facilities that the University of Victoria has to offer.
Maker and Coding Camps – Tinker the week away in our Maker and Coding camps. Designed for the curious, who want to design new ideas and build their understanding of how things work.
Specialty Camps – Explore marine science in Ocean Explorers, discover our infinite universe in AstroLab, or build and code innovative machines in Bot-Builders.
CAMP HOURS
Summer camps run Monday to Friday from 9 a.m to 4 p.m.
Extended hours: Extended hours provide additional time slots for early drop-off or late pick-up. They cover 8-9 a.m. and 4-5 p.m. There is an additional cost. Please select extended hours when you register. Extended hours are NOT available for off-campus programming.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Science Venture operates as a non-profit organization and incurs substantial fees for each cancellation. The later the cancellation, the harder it is for us to fill the spot with somebody on the waitlist.
To offset these costs, our cancellation and transfer policy is as follows:
More than 7 business days before the program’s start date: 100% refund of program price, minus a $50 cancellation fee.
7 business days or less before the program’s start date: 50% refund of program price.
After 9 a.m. the Friday before the program’s start date: No refund provided. Exchange of equal value is possible, subject to availability.

All Science Venture instructors receive extensive pre-camp training that includes:
lab safety
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
earthquake safety
behaviour management
communication
program design
All instructors have First Aid and CPR certificates and criminal record checks
